Where two mountain worlds meet.
I grew up in Germany where the mountains were never just mountains. They were where you went to breathe. To think more clearly. To feel humble in the grandness of the mountains. As a small boy it somehow made the world feel larger and more peaceful than it seemed in city life.
My wife is Canadian and felt the very same in the Rocky Mountains. Different range, same profound feeling.
When we found Canmore we understood immediately. This was where both of our worlds met. The European soul of the alpine and the majestic and untamed Canadian Rockies together in one remarkable place.
Wouldn’t it be wonderful if our kids stop looking at screens and start looking up at the world?
Berg is the German word for mountain. Traum means dream.
Because whether you are eight or eighty years old, standing at the base of these peaks invokes something special within you. As it always has and always will. The mountains don’t discriminate where you are from. Germany, Calgary, Tokyo or anywhere in between. They simply invite you to dream a little bigger than you did the day before.
That is what we built this space for.
BergTraum. Because the mountains have always made us dream.
Come and see what they do to you.
